Oh, my God!
Chicago Blackhawks rookie AJ Spellacy suffered an accidental cut to the face by an errant skate blade from Taige Harding in a training camp scrimmage today.
Check it out:
This happened literally moments after Spellacy delivered a hit on Aidan Thompson, who skated by and said something after.
Thankfully though, Spellacy suffered only a small cut to the cheek and met with reporters after the scrimmage to confirm that he's okay.
"I got lucky, it wasn't too bad. I felt the skate to the face, so I thought it was going to be worse but now I'm fine. We were scrimmaging and that's hockey..."
Honestly, I hate seeing these sort of accidents and I'm just thankful that Spellacy is okay.
