MacKinnon does just hate carbs, he hates mayo too!

While we cannot blame Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon for being upset about eating wood on the face-off, he appears to have quite a short fuse lately.

On Thursday night as he stood next to Arizona Coyotes rookie Dysin Mayo at the face-off in the last moments of the game, MacKinnon was accidentally hit by his stick and it busted his face open.

And while it had to be painful, I am pretty sure that Mayo never look to hurt the star forward. However, MacKinnon was having none of it and after he fell to the ice and realized he was bleeding, he took matters in his own hands and went after Mayo and jumped him to beat him up.

Check this out:

This created quite a bit of chaos on the ice and even captain Gabriel Landeskog got in the mix at the very end of the game.

And it prompted funny jokes on social media about MacKinnon and his very strict diet that apparently does not include any love for mayo.
