St. Louis Blues fans were hoping defenseman Vince Dunn would be part of the lineup for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final against the Boston Bruins tonight, however, it will have to wait…

Dunn, who played the first 16 playoff games for the Blues, has missed the last three, officially with an “upper body injury” after being hit in the mouth with the puck.

While there was hopeful news over the weekend that Dunn could play in the first contest of the finals after making the trip to Boston, it was confirmed on Monday by head coach Craig Berube that Carl Gunnarsson would replace him once again in the Blues’ lineup.

Berube did mention that Dunn was getting closer to a return, he who has taken part in team’s practices, but remains day to day at the moment.

Dunn has tow goals and five assists in 15 minutes, 39 second over average ice time in 16 playoff games. The 22-year-old blue-liner has 12 goals and 23 assists in the regular season, his second in the NHL.

Here is a look at the projected lineup for the Blues tonight in Boston for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final:

Jaden Schwartz--Brayden Schenn--Vladimir Tarasenko
Sammy Blais--Ryan O’Reilly--David Perron
Pat Maroon--Tyler Bozak--Robert Thomas
Ivan Barbashev--Oskar Sundqvist--Alex Steen

Joel Edmundson--Alex Pietrangelo
Jay Bouwmeester--Colton Parayko
Carl Gunnarsson--Robert Bortuzzo
