When the St Louis Blues take to the ice tonight at Xcel Energy Center in St Paul, Minnesota in search of a win and first round victory over the Minnesota Wild, they'll have an important piece of their lineup back in place.

Minneapolis Star Tribune reporter Michael Russo reported this morning that the Blues will in fact get Paul Stastny back in the lineup for tonight’s game. Even more interesting? He skated on the team’s top line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz in practice yesterday. It’s unclear where exactly Stastny will slot into the Blues’ lineup, but the Wild will need to adjust their gameplan to account for the shifty playmaker.

The Wild, for their part, are preparing to extend their season with a do-or-die elimination game in front of a home crowd. It’s not the situation they wanted or expected for themselves, but they’ll attempt to make the best of bad circumstances and put the pressure back on the Blues.
