Blues lose another defenseman to injury in Game 4.
Another tough break for the Blues.
The St. Louis Blues have suffered yet another blow on the blue line, and you have to wonder how the Blues are going to make it through this series when you consider just how heavily they have been affected at the position.
First let's get to the bad news. The Blues have now officially confirmed that veteran defenseman Marco Scandella will not be returning to tonight's game due to what they are calling a lower body injury. Scandella of course had previously missed time due to injury, and there are going to be legitimate questions about whether or not he tried to do too much too soon.
The good news for the Blues is that Scott Perunovich was back in the lineup today, but with Nick Leddy, Robert Bortuzzo, Torey Krug and now Marco Scandella all on the sidelines there's simply no way for the Blues to effectively replace those players in the middle of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
