Bob McKenzie might be working less and less as he is heading into retirement, he remains one of the best insider in hockey and certainly one of the most entertaining.
His son, Shawn, is a reporter for Sportsnet and on Thursday night we got the chance to see the father and son duo interact on the air as Bob McKenzie disrupted the broadcast.
Shawn was in Florida for the Toronto Maple Leafs’ game against the Panthers. As the camera returned from commercial to Shawn in the stands, we could hear him argue with someone, saying into his microphone: “Sir, sir, do you mind” as an older man steps in front of the camera.
We then realize that it’s Bob McKenzie with his own son calling him a clueless tourist on air.
The scene created by the father and son team is just hilarious.
We miss Bob McKenzie, and it’s so fun to see that his humour is a family thing.
