Bobby Ryan answers to the Sens' detractors!

Many people have been commenting on the Senators' "boring" play style lately... and let's just say that fans don't hesitate to voice their opinions on Twitter about that:

Easy to say when you're not on the ice. The Ottawa Report said earlier this season that the Sens have "focused more of their efforts on neutral-zone trapping and have placed a strong emphasis on shot-blocking, resulting in a lot of close, low-scoring games." 

Here is what Senators' winger Bobby Ryan had to say to those people who complain about his team play style:

"I think our fan base is on board with it and we recognize the brand that we have to play to be successful. Critics and ratings can be damned at this time of the year. It's all about going out and getting the job done and we've been able to do it. We're going to continue to do it."

This definitely helped the Senators to reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2007. A tad ironic for fans to criticize, isn't it?
