Bobrovsky missing from practice on Sunday morning.

Florida Panthers star goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was not on the ice for the team's morning skate.

The Stanley Cup Final is just one day removed from today and no doubt both the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers are going to be under a microscope over the course of the next 48 hours or so.

That was exactly the case on Sunday morning when sharp-eyed observers noticed that there were a few key figures missing on the ice as far as the Florida Panthers are concerned. Specifically, both star goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and star defenseman Aaron Ekblad were both absent as the rest of their teammates hit the ice.

Of course at this time of the season the big concern surrounds any potential injuries, but it would appear as though that is not the case for either player. At least if it is the case, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice wasn't willing to give any indication of it on Sunday morning.

Maurice informed reporters following the morning skate that he expects both Ekblad and Bobrovsky to be ready to go for Game 7 on Monday.

Interestingly enough the decision to sit out Bobrovsky today may have been a psychological ploy on the part of Maurice, who indicated he was trying to get Bobrovsky back into his routine ahead of Game 7.

Whether or not that will prove to be effective remains to be seen.

Here is how the Panthers lineup looked during the morning skate, with Ekblad and Bobrovsky being absent.

Verhaeghe - Barkov - Reinhart
Rodrigues - Bennett - Tkachuk
Luostarinen - Lundell - Tarasenko
Lomberg - Stenlund - Cousins

Forsling - Mahura
