We've got another season of Boston Bruins hockey right around the corner, and general manager Don Sweeney has put the finishing touches on the final roster!
All NHL clubs were required to have their finished rosters submitted to the National Hockey League by this afternoon. And while there are no major surprises as to who made the final cut, one noticeable name that isn't on the roster is none other than Jack Studnicka.
Studnicka filled in for the injured Charlie Coyle on the second line with Taylor Hall and Craig Smith and demonstrated that he has the tools to play in the NHL. However, the team apparently wants him to get some more seasoning in the AHL before making the full-time jump to the big boys club.
The full roster:
Forwards: Patrice Bergeron, Anton Blidh, Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk, Nick Foligno, Trent Frederic, Taylor Hall, Erik Haula, Karson Kuhlman, Curtis Lazar*, Brad Marchand, Tomas Nosek, David Pastrnakand Craig Smith.
Defenseman: Brandon Carlo, Connor Clifton, Derek Forbort, Matt Grzelcyk, Charlie McAvoy, John Moore, Mike Reilly and Jakub Zboril
Goaltenders: Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman
