Both will be back for the regular season
Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa have made their way back to Chicago after an exciting ~ 2 weeks during the World Cup of Hockey 2016. Toews won the championship with Team Canada leaving Hossa as a runner up with Team Europe.
Unfortunately, they will not be hitting the ice tonight during the match against the Detroit Red Wings at 8:30 PM (ET) in the United Center.
Head coach Joel Quenneville is confident that the WCH has prepared both players for the 2016-2017 NHL regular season. This allows the Blackhawks to allocate more preseason ice time to prospect players such as Alexandre Fortin for a more thorough evaluation before making any more cuts to the team.
