Brad Marchand roasts the NBA on social media.

The National Hockey League is currently on hiatus until the start of the upcoming 2022 - 2023 regular season, and as a result players from around the league are having to find ways to occupy themselves with all their extra time off.

Some like current unrestricted free agent defenseman P.K. Subban have been going out of their way to try and live as much of a the good life as possible, but that isn't going to be a viable offseason strategy for everyone.

Over the weekend, notorious Boston Bruins agitator Brad Marchand gave us a hint of what he has been up to lately when he decided to throw out a seemingly random comment on an obscure hockey-related Instagram post. It will probably come as no surprise to you to learn that Marchand was up to his usual pest antics and was seemingly looking to agitate with his post, but it might surprise you to learn that he roasted the entire National Basketball Association in the process.

Marchand was responding to an Instagram post that simply asked the question "Should the NHL consider load management?" If you're not familiar with the concept of load management, it's a concept in which teams set limits on their players on a game to game basis in the hopes of keeping them both fresh and healthy for the entire length of the regular season and the playoffs. It is perhaps best exemplified in Major League Baseball where pitchers are often limited by pitch count, a count which if met will result in a team electing to bring in a relief pitcher to finish out the game.

Well it would appear that Marchand didn't like the idea of being rested too much, because he responded in a rather harsh manner to the question.

"This ain’t basketball, take that soft shit elsewhere," said Marchand via his official Instagram account.

I suspect that his response will be well received by the old-school type of hockey fan, both because of Marchand's hard nosed mentality and also due to the fact that he took a shot at the NBA in passing.
