Brad Marchand snaps at the officials on Saturday afternoon.
Brad Marchand was furious after he was on the receiving end of a dangerous play that went uncalled.
Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand was not happy with the officials on Saturday afternoon.
Marchand was furious with the officials in the first period of Saturday's early clash between the Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers after he was on the receiving end of a fairly blatant looking knee on knee.
Marchand was skating along the boards when Flyers defenseman Erik Johnson appeared to attempt to line Marchand up for a body check. Johnson's timing and angle were off however and Marchand would have otherwise avoided contact, that is at least until Johnson stuck out his knee and caught Marchand with a dangerous knee on knee hit.
Marchand would remain down on the ice for a few seconds and followed that by gingerly making his way to the bench, but it was when he realized that there had been no call that he really lost his cool. Marchand unloaded on the officials on the ice, so much so that they would award him an unsportsmanlike penalty after he had been injured on an unpenalized knee on knee.
Something tells me that did nothing to improve his feelings about the officials on the ice.
