Players across the NHL still hate playing against Brad Marchand, but made it clear on Wednesday that they would still love to have the Boston Bruins pest on their team.
For the second straight season, Marchand has been voted the player that his NHL compatriots lest enjoy playing against — but would like to have on their team, according to the annual NHLPA poll.
However, Marchand did not found out he was voted by 36.5 percent of the 626 NHL players that participated in the poll through Twitter, because the man who loves to mock people on social media has apparently deleted his account.
As of Wednesday afternoon, this is the result you get when attempting to reach Marchand via Twitter.
Last month, Marchand was being quite active on Twitter, fighting with various NHL fanbases on Twitter and Instagram with shots fired at the Edmonton Oilers’ fanbase and going on a roasting spree.
The fact that he unexpectedly deactivated his account on Wednesday might have to do with the Bruins wanting him to quiet down on social media and focus on the last stretch ahead of the postseason.
We’re sure going to miss Marchand on Twitter is the account is permanently deleted. He is the most entertaining NHL active player on there and would easily win that pool - if one existed.
