Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk told ESPN insider Greg Wyshynski today that he was forced to change his Venmon username and profile picture after jilted hockey fans kept hitting him up for free money.

Tkachuk says that fans who lost money betting on him to score would hit up his public Venmo profile and ask for him to cover their gambling losses.

"Not even winning or scoring, it was my shots or hits. I eventually had to change my Venmo name because I've had it like forever, like I had it since college. So it was like a selfie of me with my name, so people got ahold of that so I had to change my name on it and take down my profile picture."

Wyshynski then asked if Tkachuk ever kicked a few bucks for one of the requests.

"Absolutely not. I wouldn't be playing in the NHL, because I bet that's breaking a lot of rules. Honestly, I think it's funny. People really think I'm gonna send them money for not making a shot? I'm more pissed that I didn't win the game or score more, or whatever it may be. I couldn't care less about... not hitting the bet. You really think I care about your parlay?"

I've got to say, I know probably about half a dozen buddies who would absolutely reach out to Tkachuk asking for free money. I'd absolutely love to see some middle-aged guy getting rejected by Brady on social media. Show the receipts, Brady!
