There hasn’t been much to cheer for lately for Ottawa Senators fans, but the return of star rookie Brady Tkachuk gives the team’s fans some hope for the future.
The 4th overall selection in this past summer’s 2018 NHL Entry Draft has four goals and eight points in his first seven NHL games and has often been the team’s best player when in the lineup. Being just 18 years old, almost every experience is a new experience for the rookie, including tonight’s scrap against Detroit Red Wings veteran Justin Abdelkader.
Check it out:
Old time hockey, baby! We love it!
To be perfectly fair to Abdelkader he seemed to stumble a bit behind the net and lost his balance. Whether or not this is because of Tkachuk’s sheer aggression or something else, we don’t know. In any case, we’ll give the decision to the rookie in his first career NHL fight.
