Brandon Baddock gets mauled and ejected after a dirty hit.

Brandon Baddock earns his punishment from both the officials and the players after a dirty hit.

Brandon Baddock decided to take liberties with his opponent and paid a heavy price.

Last week during a game between the Rockford Icehogs and the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, Baddock delivered a late and blindside hit to the head of Logan Stankoven, a prospect for the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars. While Baddock may have believed he could get away with the hit, nothing could have been further from the truth.

Texas Stars captain Curtis McKenzie immediately took exception to the hit from Baddock and he didn't wait for the officials to dole out punishment, delivering his own brand of justice to the IceHogs forward. McKenzie would immediately jump Baddock which would result in a giant pile up, and although we can't see exactly what happened at the bottom of that pile we did get to see the end result.

As Baddock emerged from the mass of humanity, the damage that McKenzie had inflicted was clearly visible upon his face and visor, both of which had been painted a deep shade of crimson.
