Bringing up the past in brutal fashion!

The Florida Panthers were able to even up their series against the Boston Bruins in last night's game in Sunrise, winning by a convincing 6-1 score and officially announcing that they weren't going down without a fight after their Game 1 setback.

And things got absolutely wild in the 3rd period, as both teams combined for a stunning 136 penalty minutes in the final frame alone, the first such occasion since 2015 that both teams racked up over 70 penalty minutes apiece. Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour also got into the act, caught on camera mocking Bruins captain Brad Marchand over a past controversial incident.

After Montour scored a shorthanded goal, he then made a licking gesture toward Marchand, a clear reference to when the notorious pest actually licked then-Lightning forward Ryan Callahan in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

It's officially a series, and these two teams don't like one another! That certainly sets up a must-watch Game 3, which will take place tomorrow night at Boston's TD Garden.
