It appears that a Red Wings' player is done for the regular season after suffering a serious injury.

According to Helene St. James, Wings' defenseman Ryan Sproul has an ACL injury and is likely done for the season. Sproul will be re-evaluated in two weeks to assess the extent of the injury, but it likely means he will go through extensive rehab or require surgery to repair the ailment.

The former second-round pick was in his first full season with the big club after spending majority of the last three seasons with the Grand Rapids' Griffins.

In 27 games this season, the 24-year old recorded 1 goal and six assists to go along with a -8 on the Wings' blueline.
