A very talented National Hockey League center has earned himself a big time payday.

According to an official report from the Los Angeles Kings, 25-year-old center Tyler Toffoli has agreed to a brand new contract with the organization. From the official press release:

The LA Kings have agreed to terms with forward Tyler Toffoli on a three-year contract extension, Kings Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake announced today.

It's a short-term deal relatively speaking for Toffoli, but one that will carry an average annual value of $4.6 million per season, a big time pay raise for the young NHLer.

While injuries hampered his ability to play at times this season, Toffoli still managed 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 total points and has established himself as a core member of the Kings group of forwards.
