Some National Hockey League may have forgotten about him, but his name is making the headlines once again today, as veteran forward David Booth is being placed on waivers by the Detroit Red Wings.
The Calgary Flames have also placed centre Freddie Hamilton on waivers. As for Ryan Stanton of the Edmonton Oilers, he has cleared waivers.
Booth was once a very coveted player in the NHL. Back in 2008-09 with the Florida Panthers, Booth recorded 31 goals and 60 points in 72 games. After spending the last two seasons in the KHL, Booth returned, this time with the Red Wings on a professional tryout agreement, but he has yet to find the scoresheet in four games.
