Jori Lehtera played in four leagues throuhought his profesionnal career; the SM-Liiga, the AHL, the KHL and finally the NHL. The Helsini native has been a tremendous playmaker at every level but for the first time in his career, he's struggling.

It all started last year when Lehtera couldn't live up to the hype he created when he first came in the league and notched 44 points in his "rookie" season. He scored 9 goals and added 25 helpers for a mediocre 34 points during the 2015-2016 season. Still, he started the season with Vlad Tarasenko, the Blues' most prolific scorer. Except for his last game, Lehtera played mostly with Vlad and youngster Robby Fabbrie.

Although Lehtera has 4 points in his last five game, Ken Hitchcock wants more "playing through the competition" out of Lehtera and so he decided to scratch his 6"2 forward for tonight. Nail Yakupov will take his place on the third line alongside Dmitrij Jaskin and Patrik Berglund.
