Breaking: Acciari underwent surgery

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney gave an update on forward Noel Acciari on Saturday. 

The 25-year-old underwent surgery to fix his left index finger fracture, which he suffered during the team's 4-3 win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday. The expected recovery time is approximately six weeks. 

The start of the 2017-18 season has been difficult for the Bruins, who have several players sidelined with injuries.
