Breaking: Alex Kerfoot has chosen his team!

Alex Kerfoot, a former New Jersey Devils draft pick in 2012, has decided to join the Colorado Avalanche. 

The 23-year-old center will sign an entry-level contract with the Avalanche after becoming a free agent last week when his rights with the Devils expired.

On Tuesday, TSN insider Darren Dreger reported the New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks and the Avalanche made up the final 5 contenders to land the coveted NCAA star.
