People thought Alexander Ovechkin was regressing. Boy were they wrong. After posting a hat trick in a single period in the Washington Capitals' season opener, the Russian star repeated the exact same feat against the Montreal Canadiens, literally one period later.
This feat hasn't been done in exactly 100 years, and is only one of four players to have ever accomplished it.
Ovechkin now has a whopping 564 goals to his name in 923 career games.
And tonight's game isn't even over.
