Some extremely sad news to report on Friday as the National Hockey League has lost one of it's greatest alumni.

NHL legend Al Arbour, the man with more wins than all but one other coach in NHL history has passed away at the age of 82. Arbour will forever be remembered in the city of New York for leading the Islanders dynasty of the 70ss and 80s.

Arbour also had a successful career as a player capturing a Stanley Cup on two occasions once as a member of the Blackhawks and once as a Maple Leaf.

Arbour also impacted the game in many ways becoming the first player to ever wear eyeglasses on the ice, and would also become the first captain in the St. Louis Blues' franchise history.

Words can not describe how massive a loss this is to the hockey world, we will leave you with Al talking to Elliotte Friedman in an interviewjust prior to his coaching his 1,500th NHL game.
