Breaking: Andrei Markov reportedly negotiating with a new NHL team.

It sounds like the Montreal Canadiens will be losing another one of their core players.

While there has been no official announcement regarding a new contract for veteran defenseman Andrei Markov , Habs insider Tony Marinaro of TSN's 690 radio in Montreal is now reporting that Markov is in talks with a rival team.

According to Marinaro, Markov is currently negotiating exclusively with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, although how far he has come down from his original ask of $12 million over two years is unknown at this time.

While again nothing is official, the fact that he is negotiating with the Flyers, and only the Flyers, would appear to indicate where he does end up.
