BREAKING: Another Huge Update!

Another huge update out of practice.

As the Detroit Red Wings are set to face off against the Winnipeg Jets tonight, they took to the ice to practice. As reported earlier, Niklas Kronwall, who had been skating with the team for weeks now, has not only participated in practice but was doing power play drills on the top unit.

Initially, we reported that his status was unclear as of yet, but moments ago we received confirmation that Kronwall will make his regular season debut tonight against the Jets.

This is great news for a Red Wings team that could use his veteran presence on the blue line, as the team has struggled of late by losing three games in a row including one in overtime.

He is expected to play alongside Brendan Smith on the third pairing, and the assumption is that head coach Jeff Blashill will try to limit his ice time in order to ease him back into game form.
