The Los Angeles Kings took on the Calgary Flames Wednesday night, falling 4-3 in overtime. The loss wasn't the only bad news for LA.
Kyle Clifford left the game in the second period after taking a hard hit from Michael Stone into the boards. Clifford could be out for awhile, joining Marian Gaborik on the sidelines. The latter is still recovering from an off-season knee surgery.
The former second round pick has 85 points in 488 career regular season NHL games.
The Kings are 2-0-1 in three games so far - placing them 10th on the NHL's Super 16 Power Rankings.
