Breaking: Babcock demotes star player to fourth line!

This may be a controversial decision.

Mike Babcock has opted to pull a Claude Julien-type move and demote a star player to the 4th line, in the hopes of lighting a fire under him.

Despite Mitch Marner's 4 points in 5 games, the player is a -6 and doesn't appear to be playing up to his full potential. His struggles have been visible on the power play.

Connor Brown will get the opportunity in Marner's spot to add to his 2 points on the season.

This could easily be changed during the game - and as crazy as it sounds to have a player of Marner's calibre playing with Matt Martin and Dominic Moore, no one can deny the top six potential that Brown possesses. There could be an interesting and effective balance struck with this reorganization of the lines.

How would you rate Marner's performance so far?
