Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock announced that forward Nazem Kadri will be out of the lineup tonight to face the Colorado Avalanche, as reported on Twitter by hockey insider Chris Johnston. Kadri is dealing with an upper-body injury. He left Thursday's game in Arizona after he took an elbow to the head, and he did not return.

Kadri, 27, was drafted seventh overall by the Leafs in 2009. He played 446 games in the NHL so far, registering 281 points, and added six points in 13 playoff games. So far this season, the London, Ontario native has 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 38 games played.

The Leafs are currently second in the Atlantic division with a record of 23-14-1.
