BREAKING: Bad News Regarding Athanasiou

The injury bug seems hungry for Detroit Red Wings players, this year. In what is already turning out to be a rough start to their 2016-2017 regular season schedule, the Red Wings can't catch a break as they've had issues with staying out of the infirmary.

Yesterday, Justin Abdelkader was diagnosed with a sprained MCL which will keep him out the lineup for a minimum of two to four weeks. This morning, he was placed on the seven-day injured reserve.

To date, there are no clear timelines set for either players.
