Breaking: Big rumors about Radulov leaking from the Canadiens organization.

There are some big time rumors leaking from the Montreal Canadiens organization, and it's hard to imagine they aren't a blatant attempt from the team to save face.

As most of our readers will know by now, Russian superstar Alexander Radulov made the decision to leave the Montreal Canadiens as an unrestricted free-agent, and instead opted to sign as a member of the Dallas Stars. 

Now Sportsnet insider Eric Engels is reporting that someone from senior Habs management has informed him that the Habs matched the offer by the Dallas Stars, and furthermore that they made it several days ago.

This would appear to be an attempt to demonstrate that Habs management attempted to retain the player, or perhaps an attempt to make Radulov appear greedy, but certainly the timing of this leak is extremely suspect to say the least.
