Fans have been eagerly awaiting the debut of National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr as a member of the Calgary Flames, and while they won't be getting that debut tonight, they won't have to wait much longer.
According to a breaking news report from Sportsnet analyst Eric Francis, Jagr will not be playing tonight when the Flames face off against the Anaheim Ducks, and will also likely miss Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Kings, both of which are on the road.
However Francis is also reporting that he expects Jagr will debut on Friday, in front of the Calgary Flames home crowd, a move that makes sense given the marketing opportunity a play like Jagr presents. It also has to be said that Jagr probably wanted some time to get adjusted to the playing and practicing alongside his new teammates.
So while the debut is not here yet, it's now only just a few days away.
