Marian Hossa of the Chicago Blackhawks left the ice during the third period of Tuesday night's game versus the Philadelphia Flyers due to an injury that no one really knows anything about.

Joel Quenneville stated earlier this week that Hossa is "day to day" and that he has hopes that he will be able to play tomorrow versus the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Later during the week coach Q said that Hossa is unlikely to play tomorrow and would have to wait until the weekend to play but that was also not confirmed officially.

Marian Hossa was not present for today's practice at Johnny's IceHouse West, which raises a little bit of concern in hopes that any injury or illness the star forward is facing isn't going to keep him off the ice for too long.

Hossa scored his 500th career goal the same night he left the ice injured and the Blackhawks fans and coaching staff is definitely anxious to get him back on the ice for more action.

Watch tomorrow as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Arena at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
