What the hell just happened?

It was a relatively quiet first period in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final and the second period appeared to be headed that way as well.

That is until roughly halfway through the second when both teams suddenly exploded for a goal a piece, both coming within just 20 seconds of one another.

The first goal came from the Penguins, and that one was courtesy of veteran winger Chris Kunitz, and while it caused the PPG Paints Arena to explode with cheers, the celebration was short lived.

That's because it was immediately followed by a great play from Erik Karlsson, one that was barely onside, and one that set up Senators forward Mark Stone for the immediate response and the game tying goal.

It has been back and forth action ever since.
