The rich just keep getting richer.
Despite already having a very deep pool of goaltending talent, the New York Rangers made a move on Thursday that has added yet another piece to that depth. The Rangers have announced the signing of 22-year-old free agent goaltender Chris Nell to a three-year entry-level contract.
This obviously means Nell will be leaving Bowling Green State University where he became the school's the all-time leader in shutouts over the course of his three seasons with the team.
Nell has put up respectable numbers during his time in college as well, boasting a 2.15 goals against average and .916 save percentage this season. While those numbers are a dip from the very impressive 1.91 and .930 he put up last year, it's clear he is still a talent worth watching.
