The Boston Bruins have announced that they’ve assigned forwards Austin Czarnik and Danton Heinen to the AHL’s Providence Bruins.

Czarnik has played two games for the Bruins so far this season, going pointless in both. Heinen, however has managed three assists in three games so far this season, so his demotion has to be seen as an odd move.

The Langley, BC native was drafted in the 4th round (116th overall) by the Bruins in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and has managed to work his way into 11 NHL games so far in his career. Look for him to tear up the AHL this season as he scored 14 goals and 44 points in just 64 games for the Baby Bruins last season.
