The Boston Bruins have already had to deal with some very significant injuries this season with both Patrice Bergeron and David Backes missing all of Boston's games thus far and things just got worse.
According to an announcement from the Bruins official website, 25-year-old center Ryan Spooner has not also suffered a significant injury, a right groin adductor tear that occurred on October 15 against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. As a result of this injury Spooner is now expected to be out for the next four to six weeks making this a rather significant injury indeed.
The Bruins are expecting both Bergeron and Backes to return shortly but nothing has been confirmed on that front, and even when they do the Bruins forwards will still be a man down for the next several weeks.
Another tough break for Boston and their fans.
