Breaking: Canadiens and veteran NHLer appear to part ways

When the Montreal Canadiens offered a professional tryout agreement to Eric Gélinas in late August, Habs fans were delighted to see that he was given a second chance to show what he still had in the tank. The veteran was more than motivante to fight for a spot on the Canadiens' lineup.

However, it appears that things did not go as planned. According to Brian Wilde of recrutes.ca, the Canadiens will not be offering a contract to Gélinas, since he was not able to do enough to prove to them he deserved to crack the lineup.
