Breaking : Canucks acquire former 1st rounder in gambling move.

Today is pretty frantic, we'll have to mention it often. The UFA is  pretty much on fire, as is customary on July 1st, and signature are happening everywhere.

The Canucks are not out of the game and they signed a few minutes ago Alexander Burmistrov to a one year, 900,000$ deal.

The 25 years old Russian centerman was the 8th overall pick back in 2010 but never exactly bloomed into the offensive machine many expected him to become. With 95 points 324 games thus far in the NHL, he can put the puck in the back of the net, but not frequently enough.

Obviously, both the Canucks and Burmistrov will wish for a fresh start and, maybe, a very different kind of result. The gamble is not so big to take at 900,000$ for one year and it's a very interesting move!
