The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Anton Rodin from the AHL’s Utica Comets.
The 26-year-old has played just three games for the Comets so far this season, earning two assists in those contests. He managed just three games with the Canucks last season before suffering a brutal knee injury that took him out of action for most of the season.
While it was expected that Rodin would return to Sweden this past offseason to resume his career, he decided to give the NHL one last chance with a one-year deal. No word yet on whether or not he’ll get into the lineup for tonight’s game against the Dallas Stars.
