Hopefully this can FINALLY spark the boys and we can get a win.

The Vancouver Canucks announced this morning that injured goaltender Anders Nilsson, who has been out with a broken finger, has been activated off the injured reserve and will back up starter Jacob Markstrom tonight against the Anaheim Ducks.

As a result, the team has demoted Richard Bachman to the AHL’s Utica Comets.

Additionally, the team announced that rookie goalie Thatcher Demko has also been activated off the injured reserve and will join Bachman with the Comets.

The top prospect has been dealing with a concussion sustained in the preseason and has yet to play a game in the NHL or the AHL this season. Here’s hoping he can find his form in Utica and prove that he’s worthy of NHL starts later this season.
