Breaking: Canucks make an AHL call up, Horvat injured?

According to a report from Sportsnet 650’s Rick Dhaliwal, the Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Tanner Kero from the AHL’s Utica Comets.

According to Patrick Johnson of The Province, Kero’s recall is simply precautionary as center Bo Horvat is experiencing some pain after last night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.

If this is the case, it seems unlikely that Kero actually gets into any games with the Canucks. Rookie Elias Pettersson is expected to return from injury for tomorrow night’s game against the Buffalo Sabres and head coach Travis Green also has Nikolay Goldobin at his disposal.
