Vancouver Canucks prospect Petrus Palmu has reportedly left the AHL’s Utica Comets and signed a deal in his native Finland to play the rest of the 2018-19 season.

The 21 year old winger was just one assist in his first season of AHL hockey and was clearly frustrated at being a regular scratch under Comets head coach Ryan Johnson. Still, there doesn’t appear to be a fracture in the relationship between the player and team, as Canucks general manger Jim Benning signed off on the arrangement with Palmu.

Here’s hoping the kid gets some good development in Finland. He had 17 goals and 36 points in 59 games with TPS Turku of the Finnish SM-Liiga last season.
