Breaking: Canucks veteran has been asked to submit his eight-team trade list.

The Canucks are looking to sell one of their veteran assets, or so it would seem.

A report from TSN 1040 host Matthew Sekeres has revealed that the Vancouver Canucks reached out to veteran forward Jannik Hansen last night, specifically to obtain his eight-team trade-approved list.

The obvious speculation here is that the Canucks are looking to trade Hansen prior to the deadline, and as a 30-year-old quality veteran with NHL experience will be sought after by NHL teams.

No word yet on who the Canucks may be dealing with here but stay tuned for more details.
