Just two days after being called up by the Vancouver Canucks, Swedish forward Anton Rodin has been sent back down to the team’s AHL affiliate the Utica Comets.
Rodin didn’t play a single minute during his brief stint with the team and has just one assist in three games with the Comets this season. The 26-year-old managed just three games with the Canucks last season before suffering a brutal knee injury that took him out of action for most of the season.
While it was expected that Rodin would return to Sweden this past offseason to resume his career, he decided to give the NHL one last chance with a one-year deal. With his latest demotion however, there’s no telling when he’ll get his chance again.
