Breaking: Capitals top young forward out with injury

The Washington Capitals announced an injury this morning.

Andre Burakovsky, 22, has 4 points in 9 games played so far this season. Going into the season, he's one of the young players around the league that was expected to have a breakout year. So far, he's keeping the pace from his previous two seasons, but it remains early.

It's unclear if the former first round pick will miss significant time.

If it is indeed a hand injury, the worst-case scenario could be a fracture that would keep him out for several weeks.
