Breaking: Carey Price shaken up during practice on Monday.

The Montreal Canadiens had a big scare in practice today.

During what would have normally been the Canadiens normal routine during their morning skate on Monday goaltender Carey Price appeared to be seriously shaken up. Thankfully as you would expect in a hockey market as crazy as Montreal is there were several cameras rolling at the time so we are able to show you exactly what happened.

Based on the video that has been made available to us it appears that a blistering shot from teammate Brendan Gallagher was what caused him to go down. It's hard to tell from the video but the puck appeared to catch Price in the general area of his neck, chest, and shoulder, although I would say it seemed to be primarily focused in the area of his neck.

Price, understandably, collapsed in a heat on the ice and appeared to be in some considerable pain immediately following the shot from Gallagher. Before you hit the panic button though Habs fans there is some good news here, it does seem like the shot from Gallagher caused temporary discomfort and there does not appear to be any form of serious injury to Price in spite of how bad this looks.

Price would continue to take reps during practice with his teammates which would of course appear to indicate that he was able to shake off the injury and will be good to go when called upon. You can check out exactly what happened in the video provided below.
