While nothing is official, and it probably won't be given how injuries are handled in the NHL playoffs, Bob McKenzie of TSN has speculated that
Tyler Johnson, one of the favorites to win the Conn Smythe, may be dealing with an injury.
While Johnson is expected to play that should come as no surprise to anyone given that multiple players have endured injuries as severe as broken bones and continued to play in this year's Stanley Cup playoffs.
McKenzie added that there may be doubts regarding how effective Johnson can be, something that could explain
Jonathan Drouin getting his first chance to play in nearly a month. .Some had even speculated that his most recent scoring slump could have been the result of a pre-existing injury something that would be compounded by any injury he may have suffered in Game 1.
