Coveted NHL pending UFA has signed a 2 yr deal to play in the KHL.

It's a tough day for the Canucks as Vancouver lost not only one powerful defenseman but two defensemen as they both signed deal with KHL teams for the next season

We reported earlier today that Tryamkin signed back to the KHL with hometown team Avtomobilist. Tryamkin played the last two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks. He scored 3 goals and registered 8 assists for a total 11 points in 79 games.

Well, the Vancouver Canucks lost another defenseman as pending UFA Philip Larsen has signed a 2 yr deal to play in the KHL with Salavat Yulaev as of next season.

Larson is a 6ft1, 183-pound defenseman that played for the Dallas Stars, the Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks. He played 26 games this season with Vancouver. Philip Larsen scored 1 goal and registered 5 assists for a total of 6 points.

Even if his statistics are not flashy, he is a solid shutdown defenseman which would have made him a coveted UFA. He Has excellent hockey sense. Moves the puck quickly and smoothly out of the defensive zone and has some offensive ability. Can be an asset on the power play. (as reported by scouting report on The Hockey News)
